Note: Whenever “Gacy” is mentioned in this story, it refers to Gacy aka Eduardo_martin007 Unfortunately his now deleted Roblox account : (.
On June 12, 2021, I met Gacy aka Eduardo_martin007, who would later become our company founder. It was my first time encountering him while playing F3X Core Building in Roblox, working on some random creations. I noticed a group of people in the game (later identified as his friends, though that’s not important).
I approached him and said, “Hi, nice basement/bunker you’re making.” A short conversation followed, and I ended up helping him with his project. During our chat, I mentioned, “I’m making a game, but I don’t know anything and don’t have a laptop. Any chance you can help?”
To my surprise, he agreed. Gacy explained everything I needed to know, and we brainstormed potential company names:
We eventually settled on Frost Power Plant. That same day, Gacy started developing in Roblox Studio. The first things he added were a base plate, green grass, and a “Coming Soon” sign—the foundation of our game.
Initially, progress was slow, with only minor updates and features added. On June 28, 2021, we hit a major milestone: Bradys27 and Star Duck joined the team.
At that time, the team consisted of just Gacy and me. Without a laptop, I couldn’t actively develop, so I focused on creating assets using F3X. Fun fact: some early assets were leaked due to exporting code to a friend—maybe some of you still have the old asset IDs!
Despite the updates, we still didn’t have a reactor yet, which would come later.
As the game grew, we encountered a major setback. Gacy unintentionally saved a malicious model to his account. This model contained a hidden virus, leading to his account being banned.
Thankfully, the group account preserved much of our progress. However, I accidentally left the group during this time after receiving threats. None of us knew the model had a virus. This incident marked the last time we ever saved random models to personal accounts.
Gacy’s account deletion was a huge blow. Personal challenges made it even harder for him, and updates slowed significantly.
Around January or February, Lisa joined the company. Her insight convinced me to upgrade the map, which was essential for later chapters. Without her, our chapters might never have existed.
With the addition of mushroomheaded, we now had a bigger development team. He became our official Mesh Asset Developer and Scripter, bringing new skills and energy to the project.
Over time, we faced plenty of hate from detractors, but we focused on building and improving the game. With my laptop, development became much more efficient—I became significantly better at building and contributing.
Chapter 3: Marked another major milestone in our history, with more updates and expansions continuing in the years to come.
